Since our Clients From Hell post was so popular I figured why not have a go with Dribbble. If you're not familiar with Dribbble it's a Web App that's been around for a few months.
It only gained major popularity in the last 2-3 months since it opened it's doors to the public. Lets just say It's like the worlds best CSS/Photoshop snap-shot gallery...but even better! Continue Reading...
Lets have a go at something different today by taking a trip over to Dribbble.com and having a good look at some of the best creatives over there. However we’re not just going to be having a look at the artists but also their work which is of an extremely high quality.
The Dribbblers and Their Work
Liam Mckay
Liam Mckay is a web designer from the UK. His work undoubtedly speaks for itself; Clean and consistent is something that’s very clear in all of his work. As you’ll notice Liam is a fan of the ‘Clean Grunge’ look which is usually something mixed in between Elliot Jay Stocks and Matt Smith, (no I don’t mean Doctor Who).
Dave Shea
The reason I’ve chosen Dave to be on this list is because of his creative use of a brown-ish colour palette. I can’t honestly remember the last time I saw a nice design that incorporated brown.
Megan Fisher
Aside from here extreme obsession with owls, Meagan has a lot of creative talent which not only shows on here Dribbble profile but also in the design of her portfolio and blog. Another thing I enjoy in her work is the way she uses quite a light shade of blue and is able to pull it off.
Ole Martin Kristiansen
I was first interested in his work when I stumbled upon this piece of work somebody had posted a link to on Twitter. It wasn’t just the colour palette that interested me on this one, It was the way he used typography to give the call to action buttons more life and presence.
Sarah Parmenter
Sarah’s work is different from the others before hand. Most of her work is different. The reason the others interest me so much is because the consistent updates on certain projects, however Sarah’s work comes in such a variety of layout and colour that it stands out from the crowd without a doubt.
Jonno Riekwel
Jonno launched 365psd. A site in which designers can submit their-killed-off-by-client designs so that others can download and use them as they wish. His talent on Dribbble is quite obvious as you reach his page. He also seems to like alot of jQuery effects, clearly visible on 365psd.
Phil Coffman
I don’t know a lot about Phil Coffman but I do know that his designs are enough for me to admire his work. This shot in particular really caught my eye beacuase of the level of detail, but not just that, it was also the techniques he used to get that level of detail.
Josh Hemsley
Josh posted a few Dribbbles a while ago that showed what looked to be a web app. I was intrigued since like many other designers and developers web apps help me be a creative. I also like he can incorporate many different colours into just one shot, let alone one design.
Brad Colbow
I’m pretty sure that everyone knows Brad Colbow from his illustration work on his online comic that he releases from week to week titled The Brads. What some readers of The Brads may not realize is that he is also quite a well rounded web designer.
Erica Burnett
Erica is a creative who I hadn’t come across before yesterday. Although I’m now glad I have because the style she uses that attracted me to it is the simplistic yet rich in detail look, something which can be extremely hard to pull off.
Conclusion
So in conclusion all I can really say is that Dribbble is probably one of the best apps out there. OK while it’s technically not what most would consider a web app you can’t say that it’s useless and by my words about it you can probably tell that I love it. It’s a place for the best creatives to say with an image and a few words “Look what I made!”. In my mind that’s awesome

Thanks for including me, it’s an honor to be listed among such a talented group of designers.
Great list, – Good to see Josh and Jonno on there. A lot of others are great as well. Good list.
I echo Brad’s sentiment. Thanks for adding me in this list!
